Brown rice tea, actually yesterday was the first time I tried it. Tastes like you drink water with a brown rice in it, it’s crunchy, well.. it’s different. After I tried it I wanted to know more, especially about  the health benefits of this tea, so I went on the internet. I found several interesting facts, that brown rice is a fantastic source of the nutrients that you need in order to maintain a healthy diet.

Let’s continue to dig in more, the health benefits are:

    1. Brown rice tea contains antioxidants known as polyphenols. Brown rice tea is full with antioxidants that are important in the prevention of disease.
    2. Brown rice tea is also abundant in manganese, an essential trace mineral that maintains healthy nerve functions, stabilizes blood sugar levels and aids the body in synthesizing cholesterol and essential fatty acids. Manganese helps your body maintain bone and teeth strength, normal blood-sugar levels and healthy nerves. Break down fats, carbohydrates, and proteins.
    3. Brown rice tea is rich in fiber. Sure, you’ve heard that fiber is good for you, but do you know why? Fiber is necessary to maintain a healthy digestive tract and aids in the maintenance of healthy weight.
    4. Brown rice tea also contains selenium. It is an essential trace mineral in the human body. This nutrient is an important part of antioxidant enzymes that protect cells against the effects of free radicals. Selenium is also essential for normal functioning of the immune system and thyroid gland.

I can say even this brown rice tea is not one of my favorite teas, but still, consuming brown rice tea on a regular bases can added health benefits, so worth to try right?
